The day I became a RN

Today I became a RN! I took my test on Thursday, and you can't imagine the anxiety I've felt for the past 48 hours! I thought FOR SURE I failed. But God has blessed me in so many ways. I was at work when I found out. I had been anxious all morning. At lunch I called my husband Nathan to see if he was home. He was not, how typical. I just couldn't stand it, so I called my parents. My dad logged into my account for me and told me my results were available. I reassured him that, yes I do want to find out right now, no matter what the results were. He was worried that if it was bad I would do better at home. I insisted he look. The next few seconds were complete silent as he logged on... then I heard the words "Congratulations, you're an RN". I was so excited. That moment the stress fell off of me and I was so happy. I could hear my mom screaming in the background. She quickly got on the phone, crying and saying how proud she was of me. A big thanks goes out to my mom, because if she hasn't bugged me to go to nursing school for 2 years, I probably would never had gone. A HUGE thanks goes out my loving husband, who stood by my me encouraging me, watching me study, stress, cry, laugh and spend more time with my books than with with him. I LOVE YOU NATHAN!
